The GESA gives you the possibilty to offer your own ideas to a large community of global decision makers. Obviously, the complexety of global problems demands cooperation - across continents and borders but also across individuals and decison makers. This is the central element of the GES idea. The whole GES community is meant to enable and enforce such cooperation - and so is the GESA as a vital part of it. The GESA is a platform for cooperation among its members.

The authors of the best contributions will be awarded the GES Outstanding Young Scholars Award, entitling them to participation in the GES 2012 and interaction with the senior GES Community.

The GES 2011 marks the starting point for the interaction of the student community. You will be able to follow selected meetings of the GES panelists live over the internet and selected solution proposals will be made available for discussion. The award winners will be announced in the run-up to the GES 2012.  Furthermore, all highly involved members of the GESA, who provide valuable input to the GES Process by contributing solution proposals that are novel, concrete, and implementable will be granted full access to the Virtual GES with all its research and discussion resources.
